Outpatient Registration Specialist - Full-Time Days

The Outpatient Registration Specialist will register or admit all patients as they present to the facility for testing or admission with or without having been pre-registered. This position will work closely with the physician’s offices to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed correctly and all insurance verification / information is obtained and documented.  Responsibilities also include verification of insurance and preauthorization of benefits prior to procedure, data entry of patient information,  collection of applicable deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments due from patient at time of service is required. They must possess respectable phone etiquette, patient response verbiage and patient satisfaction. This position will report to Patient Access Supervisor.  A ninety-five percent (95%) accuracy rating is required for position. 

This position will be directly responsible for outpatient registration and central scheduling.

Must have previous experience in a medical office and must have a working knowledge of medical terminology.

High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.

The position is located in the hospital Radiology Department and has a schedule of M-F 8:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
