Position title: Outreach & Education Coordinator
Reports to: Outreach & Education Manager

Position Summary
The Outreach & Education Coordinator works with the Marketing, Communications & Outreach team to support a wide range of initiatives aimed at raising awareness of Your Health Idaho and its mission to provide affordable health insurance for Idahoans.

The Idaho Health Insurance Exchange, dba Your Health Idaho, was established in 2013 by Idaho House Bill 248. We are an independent entity overseen by a 19-member Board of Directors. Your Health Idaho is Idaho’s online marketplace where Idaho individuals, families, and small businesses can shop, compare, and choose the health insurance that’s right for them. We are also the only place where Idahoans can apply for and receive a tax credit that can pay for some or all of their monthly premiums. We serve over 100,000 Idahoans and support ~$500m in annual premiums. Your Health Idaho has received multiple awards for our culture and is recognized as a premier employer in the Treasure Valley.
Responsibilities (Position may include additional functions not listed)
- Serve as a point of contact for state and local businesses, organizations, and community partners, including—but not limited to—large health systems and community health clinics, nonprofit groups, chambers of commerce, professional groups, and statewide associations. Represent Your Health Idaho at external partner events
- Explore new alternatives for outreach efforts to reach target populations for enrollment purposes
- Grow outreach efforts and event participation within underserved communities
- Responsible for the coordination and execution of participation in industry and customer-facing events to promote the mission of Your Health Idaho and raise awareness of the Idaho health insurance exchange
- Review, recommend, and serve as a point of contact for sponsorship events and partnerships with community partners
- Attend meetings of nonprofit organizations, chambers of commerce, and other key statewide associations
- Respond to email and phone inquiries from community members and other interested parties; when needed, engage team members to assist
- Work with the MarCommOut team to promote event participation on Social Media channels
- Monitor and update data sources with details of outreach efforts on a consistent basis
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience in a directly related field (community outreach, fundraising, event coordination, or marketing)
- High level of professionalism/energy, and ability to effectively interact and develop relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Comfortable initiating conversations and engaging with the public
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team in a highly regulated but constantly changing industry.
- Have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn specific processes and approaches, and implement them consistently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and project coordination ability to manage multiple tasks, appointments, and follow-ups without losing track of priorities
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM platforms
- Ability to assume responsibility, accountability, and maintain confidentiality consistent with the values and integrity of Your Health Idaho.

Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly across all methods. Must be able to compose correspondence, memos, reports, and presentations, both manually and digitally
- Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and early mornings as projects demand
- Comfortable using technology, including laptops, cell phones, and remote connectivity
- A driver’s license and reliable transportation is required, as travel will be frequent and often requires transporting supplies and other materials
- Ability to set up and break down tables, tents, etc., and occasionally need to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds
