Outreach Representative: School Health

This position will support the Community Health and Operations Dept with various activities for all school sites. Associate will also help with student enrollment. This position will last for one year under the Green grant.

Requirements:
• Written and verbal Spanish proficiency required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to use data entry and retrieval system.
• Must have knowledge, understanding and experience in two of the following: asthma, reproductive health, fitness and nutrition.
• Must be able to work evening hours and weekends for community health-related events and programming.
• Must complete fingerprinting for Department of Education and Justice Center Security Clearance
• The candidate has to have the ability to travel throughout Bronx, NY and work within NYC DOE public schools.
• Experience and/or high comfort level in talking to adolescents about reproductive health issues: -Reproductive Rights-based Contraceptive Counseling -Reproductive health education and Pregnancy Prevention education in the classrooms and other events settings.
• The outreach specialist will perform a variety of outreach activities such as the recruitment, screening and tracking of clients for a community based health program or research project.
• Develops and conducts health education and counseling services for clients.

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00a-3:30p
