We’re looking for a Community Outreach Coordinator who enjoys building relationships and connecting people to meaningful resources. In this role, you’ll be out in the community meeting residents, partnering with local organizations, and helping individuals access services that support their health, education, and economic stability.

Pay: $20-21/hour, dependent on experience. This is a part-time (24 hours/week) position.

Duties
Connect with residents and community members to understand their needs
Conduct outreach to engage individuals in supportive programs and services
Link residents to resources such as case management, mental health services, education, and job readiness programs
Build and maintain relationships with local service providers and community partners
Encourage participation in programs through ongoing follow-up and engagement
Represent Mercy Housing at community meetings and neighborhood events
Collaborate with internal teams to share resources and support resident success
Track outreach efforts and maintain accurate documentation and reports
Competencies
A genuine interest in supporting individuals and strengthening communities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse populations
Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
Clear communication skills (both written and verbal)
Flexibility, creativity, and initiative in problem-solving
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience working with at-risk populations or conducting community/street outreach
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Bilingual or multilingual skills
