Job Description - Outside Parts Sales Representative

Gibbs Truck Centers is looking for an Outside Parts Sale Representative, who solicits parts business from assigned accounts, prospect for new Customers, acts as a public relations liaison for the Company, advises counter persons on sales and delivery information, and so much more.


Responsibilities



  • Prospect for new Customers in a manner prescribed by Management

  • Maintain client and prospect databases according to dealership standards

  • Follow departmental procedures and complete paperwork using available systems tools

  • Present new part opportunities during each visit

  • Meet established performance criteria as established by Parts Manager

  • Provide excellent customer service including problem identification and resolutions

  • Communicates parts orders to Parts Counter crew.

  • Reviews any special orders with the Parts Manager and obtains their approval.

  • Obtains Parts Manager’s approval for any special pricing.

  • Advises Parts Counter crew on delivery instructions.

  • Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.

  • Maintains professional appearance.


  • Other duties as assigned.




Qualifications



  • Medium/Heavy Truck Parts experience

  • Knowledge in the area of truck specifications

  • Excellent communication skills both written/verbal and effective listening ability

  • Strong customer service and sales skills

  • Bilingual communication valued


  • Self-motivated, professional teammate who is motivated for success
