The responsibilities include planning and providing strategic guidance for OSP facility reinforcement for a geographical territory. The position is customer-facing and typically provides customer network solutions. Requires extensive OSP knowledge. Depended on to provide accurate budgetary OSP project estimates. Knowledge of approved Frontier Network Engineering systems/equipment is also required. First engineering contact for all high-bandwidth customer requests requiring facility augments or new builds. This position works as a team member with National Planning, Sales, Broadband/Transport, Construction, and Operations to support the growth and upgrades of telecommunications plant facilities. This person provides frontline project management for all Ethernet activity associated with outside plant customer orders.\n\nIn this in-person role, you will be required to report to 7352 Slater Ave, Huntington Beach CA to complete your work responsibilities.\n\nWhat we need in you: \nTo be successful in this role you will need strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with a keen attention to detail. Technically, a solid background in the telecommunication industry, specifically experience with outside plant construction and ethernet systems will serve you well.\n\nWhat you\u0027ll do: \n\u2022 Frontline project management for T1, DS3, and Ethernet orders \n\u2022 Engineering design for outside plant \n\u2022 Proactive review of outside plant facilities to determine necessary upgrades and enhancements \n\u2022 Communicate with Sales and Capital Management on budgetary project resolution \n\u2022 Coordinate with peer Engineers for project design and construction to resolve roadblocks \n\u2022 Communicate with all peers and departments to ensure proper project planning \n\u2022 Maintain accurate cable records and updates \n\u2022 Maintain and investigate ROWs and easements for releases \n\u2022 Attend construction meetings *Prepare project justifications for approvals \n\u2022 Prepare loop studies as needed \n\u2022 Prepare cost estimates for BDTs \n\u2022 Update records according to As-Builts \n\u2022 Digitize the land base into the GIS system \n\u2022 Research and respond to Ethernet order activity for outside plant \n10% Prepare and monitor the capital budget plan \n40% Engineer, design and prepare project narrative and routing for Ethernet orders \n30% Maintain inter-company relations to provide the information needed by sales, project management, construction, and operations for special projects.
