We are currently looking for an exceptional individual who can confidently navigate the demands that come with working in such a high-volume position to join our Outside Sales team at our Salem, OR location.

Outside Sales Basic Duties:

• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Cold Calls.
• Seek out new projects and opportunities.
• Some occasional travel.
• Maintain relationships with manufacturers and manufacturer's Reps.
• Remain up to date with latest product knowledge.
• Prepare detailed and professional proposals.
• Most importantly be professional and uphold PSP’s core values. 

Outside Sales Desired Experience/Skills:

• Prior industry and outside sales experience a plus, but not required.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills.
• Work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines.
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills while interacting with both, customers, and employees, in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to problem solve and work through stressful situation.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in basic computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as our order entry system.
• Be responsive to customer needs including great customer service, attention to detail and daily follow through on all sales orders.
• Research customer requests using resources such as vendors and the Internet.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalency
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Pass Background Check
• Must currently possess and maintain a current and clear driving record
