Job Summary
COMMISSION ONLY - We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will generate leads, attract new clients, and close deals. Your responsibilities will include creating and submitting sales reports, building rapport with new and existing customers within your territory, evaluating their needs, and negotiating successful deals. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, exceptional customer service and negotiation skills, and a strong desire to close deals.
Responsibilities
- Develop rapport and build relationships with existing and potential customers
- Travel to appointments and meetings with potential and existing customers within your territory
- Meet or exceed designated sales targets
- Create and implement an effective sales strategy
- Document all leads, sales, and customer interactions in customer relationship management (CRM) program
- Use best practices in negotiation and sales techniques to close sales
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in coffee industry
- Previous experience in outside sales
- Highly organized
- Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude and ability to be persistent
SOLID Coffee Roasters was founded in 2013 to originally bring specialty coffee to various non-profit and corporate organizations, at an attainable price. Solid built an online web platform that combined all the logistics of specialty coffee, custom printing for private label, and supply chain to source, roast, print and fulfill their orders for fundraising and support.
SOLID invested time and money to source specialty coffee from around the world, built out a roastery within a printing company and even supported our lead roaster to become a certified master roaster by the Specialty Coffee Association and Roasters Guild!
In 2017 a flagship cafe and roastery was opened in Artesia, CA. The cafe was immediately met with huge support and has been a staple in the neighborhood ever since.
In 2018 as the operation grew, SOLID directly invested into a family coffee farm in Colombia. This helped SOLID have direct connection and impact with the farm.
2020 brought on many challenges, but also allowed SOLID to expand the roasting operation to it’s own dedicated facility with a green storage warehouse. The roastery boasts a state of the art Loring Roaster, with capacity to roast over 30,000 pounds of coffee per month. Our ability to produce consistent batches and our attention to detail has brought us many wholesale clients who appreciate the support we give their business.
We offer cupping/tastings, cafe and barista support & training, and coffee education. We specialize in sourcing and producing custom roasts and blends to our clients, and pursue excellence in every cup of coffee served.
