Outside Sales Executive

Our client is an industrial automation distributor seeking a industrial sales professional to grow its Greater Dayton territory. The role combines established-account development with new business, helping manufacturers choose products and solutions that improve productivity. You’ll manage customer relationships with support from application engineering, inside sales and customer service.

Position Summary

• Grow existing accounts and develop new manufacturing customers.
• Understand customer operations, priorities and technical challenges.
• Identify additional applications and sales opportunities within each account.
• Develop new business through consultative, solutions-focused selling.
• Coordinate with engineering and customer-service teams to address customer needs.
• Maintain account information and consistent customer follow-through.

Skills / Requirements

• Five or more years of technical sales experience in industrial automation, electrical controls or a related field.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong prospecting, account-development and presentation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and residence within reasonable distance of the Dayton territory.
