Job Description - Outside Sales Representative

Description

OHM International, established in 1987, is a leading importer and wholesaler of high-quality natural stone products & surface materials. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position will focus on selling high-quality natural tile and stone products to clients in the commercial, residential, and A&D (Architects & Designers) sectors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the building materials industry, a strong understanding of the market, a network in the territory, and a proven track record of sales success.

Key Responsibilities:

· Sales & Business Development:

o Identify and target potential clients in the commercial, residential, and A&D sectors.

o Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, contractors, builders, and other key decision-makers.

o Present and promote our range of natural tile and stone products to new and existing customers.

o Conduct site visits and in-person meetings to understand client needs and tailor product offerings.

o Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective territory management and strategic planning.

· Client Relationship Management:

o Provide exceptional customer service and after-sales support to ensure client satisfaction with both new and existing clientele

o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.

o Maintain an up-to-date database of clients, leads, and prospects in CRM software.

  

· Market Research & Reporting:

o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead in the market.

o Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and feedback to management.

o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that drive sales.

· Product Knowledge:

o Develop a deep understanding of the company’s natural tile and stone products, including features, benefits, and applications. Roughly 40 – 50 SKUs

o Stay informed about new product launches, industry standards, and building codes and utilize to gain new clients

Requirements

  

· Proven experience in outside B2B sales, preferably in the building materials industry if not natural stone.

· Strong network within the commercial, residential, and A&D sectors is highly desirable.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.

· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required. Professional experience will be strongly considered.
