Outside Sales Representative (Lansing)

Description

 Your primary responsibility is to generate sales and acquire new customers for our pest control services. You will actively engage and log your activities with potential clients, assess their needs, and offer customized pest management solutions. The role requires a combination of sales acumen, product knowledge, and excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong client relationships. This job description is not intended to be inclusive of all the duties of a Sales Representative.  

Requirements

- Conduct cold calls and visits to potential customers to present company products/services 

- Manage a portfolio of accounts and provide exceptional customer service
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet revenue targets
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve common goals
- Utilize sales management tools to track progress and report on key metrics 

- Log, manage, and report all sales activities in Platinum’s CRM 

- Collaborate and work with the Sales Manager and Director of Operations to create and tailor service proposals to meet each client's specific needs. 

- Assist and perform (as needed) thorough inspections of client properties to assess pest issues. 

- Clearly communicate findings to clients, explaining the recommended pest control solutions. 

- Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. 

- Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process and beyond. 

- Work closely with the pest control operations/service team to ensure smooth transitions from sales to service delivery. 

- Provide feedback on customer needs and market trends to improve overall service offerings. 

Experience
- Proven experience in sales, account management, preferably in the pest control and/or service-related industry.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of common pests, pest control methods, and industry is a plus. 

- Proactive and results-oriented mindset. 

- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Prior experience in lead generation and direct sales is preferred

Compensation Package: 

• Base + Uncapped Commission on Day 1 

Schedule: 

• Monday to Friday  
• Evenings and Weekends, as needed

Outside Sales representatives are needed in:  

• Lansing, Illinois – Chicagoland Territory / 8 Openings 
• Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Metro & surrounding areas / 4 Openings 

Ability to Commute: 

• Lansing, IL 60438 (Required daily during first 60 days) 
• Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Required daily during first 60 days) 

Ability to Relocate: 

• Lansing, IL 60438: Relocate before starting work (Required) 
• Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Required daily during first 60 days) 

Work Location:  

• In Office, up to 8 hours per week. 
• Territories Covered: IL (Chicagoland/W. Suburbs), IN (NW Indiana), and WI (Milwaukee)
