Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Working directly with the President, Sales Manager, and Inside Sales team, we are expecting the Outside Sales Representative to quickly become a key player and contributor to the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with current customers and identify opportunities to upsell

  • Pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, onsite meetings, and referrals

  • Ability to identify key decision makers at multiple levels within an organization

  • Conduct research on potential customers and industries to pinpoint strategic needs and challenges

  • Conduct research on steel market trends and pricing

  • Provide excellent customer service and problem solving

  • Develop a strong understanding of companies supplier network

  • Quickly adopt companies procedures and internal software

  • Quoting and Order Processing

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales team on existing accounts and new opportunities

  • Strong sales skills and ability to close deals

  • Develop a strong knowledge of steel (grades, sizes, additional processing, and manufacturing processes)

  • Ability to understand steel and industry specifications

  • Ability to read and understand customer prints

  • Highly organized and motivated with a business development mindset

Experience:

3-5 years of steel selling experience preferred

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
