Job Description - Overhaul and Repairs Senior Buyer

Eaton\u2019s Aerospace Division is currently seeking an Overhaul and Repairs Senior Buyer to join our team. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility.\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $99000 - $145000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Overhaul and Repairs Senior Buyer is responsible for procuring, planning, and coordinating materials required to support the timely repair and delivery of customer products for the Beltsville Repair Station. This role manages supplier sourcing, ordering, and material availability while aligning demand requirements with repair schedules to support shop execution. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Support, the position proactively identifies material shortages, supplier constraints, and lead-time risks that may impact turnaround time (TAT).\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Plan and procure materials required to support repair execution, ensuring adequate availability while minimizing excess inventory, obsolescence, and material aging. Ensure material clears receiving inspection and is released for shop-floor use in a timely manner.\n * Manage material transactions, allocations, and expedites as needed to support repair schedules, AOG priorities, and committed turnaround times.\n * Release and manage purchase orders (POs) for repair parts and outside processing, following up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, successful inspection release, and minimal repair delays.\n\n\n * Act as the primary Materials Planning Analyst for the Repair Station, responsible for aligning repair demand with material availability, capacity, and customer requirements.\n * Manage repair order queues to ensure smooth workflow and timely progression of priority and critical repairs in accordance with established priorities in order to achieve committed turnaround times (TAT) and promise dates.\n\n\n * Responsible for Planning KPI performance - Own Planning KPI performance for the Repair Station, maintaining daily and monthly metrics including backlog, past-due orders, turnaround time (TAT), sales, and priority/critical repair performance. Track and provide updates to team in daily tier meetings.\n\n\n * Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and customer service teams to proactively resolve material, capacity, or process constraints impacting repair flow and turnaround time in order to support repair shop execution and schedule adherence.\n * Identify and onboard new supplier\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution.\n * Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in supply chain in a manufacturing environment.\n * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.\n * This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.E. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.T.C. 1158.\n * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Three (3) or more years of professional experience in supply chain in a manufacturing environment.\n * One (1) year of professional experience in supply chain supporting a Repair Station.\n * Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) experience.\n * APICS CPIM certification\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Strong experience and knowledge of MRP/ERP concepts as well as inventory systems experience.\n * Possess sound knowledge and experience in successfully deploying purchasing strategies and driving cost-out.\n * Ability to analyze, identify, and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have measurable dollar impact annually.\n * Strong written and oral communication skills.\n * Knowledge of lean manufacturing.\n * Knowledge of MS Office applications.\n * Ability to generate reports, synthesize information, and communicate findings in an effective manner.\n * Soft skills \u2013 proactive someone that can take initiative, teamwork (working well with other functions)\n * Ability to work cross-functionally in order to proactively in order to drive solutions.\n * Knowledge of Repair station metrics (TAT, days in house).\n * Applied engineering and manufacturing knowledge to support accurate material planning, lead-time estimation, and repair scheduling.\n\n\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
