Job Title: Overhaul Business Manager

A leadership position within the MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) Mature Engines organization has opened. As the Overhaul Business Manager, you will be aligned to a MRO supplier management team and primarily focused on the business relationship between the Mature Engines organization and our MRO service provider.  It is a key interface point for the broader, Mature Engines organization and will interface with the executive leadership team of our MRO service provider as the embedded manager.  You will plan and coordinate many different kinds of operational activities in a diverse technical environment. In this role, you will travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

What you will be doing:

• Expand and improve the business relationship through a professional on-site presence and participation in key meetings
• Coordinate interface activities between the global Mature Engines organization, the MRO service provider, and our operators
• Guide the creation of work scopes in accordance with the relevant Engine Management Plan (EMP)
• Coordinate transmission, organization, and administration of shop data and electronic invoice data
• Ensure compliance to service provider agreements and customer contract requirements
• Participate in hardware dispositioning, engine system troubleshooting, and failure investigations in support of the MRO service provider

Basic Requirements:

• Associate degree with 7+ years of MRO Operations and/or gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures experience, OR

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years MRO Operations and/or gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures experience, OR
• Master’s degree with 3+ years MRO Operations and/or gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures experience, OR
• JD/PhD, OR
• 9+ years of MRO Operations and/or gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures experience in lieu of a degree
• In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

• Familiarity with airworthiness regulations
• Prioritize, work independently or in a team environment with a strong customer focus
• Develop and maintain relationships with shop personnel and customers
• Understand and communicate technical details and solve complex technical issues
• Create and solve ambiguous situations and demonstrate strategic ability, problem solving, and decision making
• Experience working with multiple business functions, both technical and non-technical
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
