Overhead Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager (PLS-CADD)

Area: Multiple Markets (Tualatin, OR / Irvine, CA / Walnut Creek, CA / Sacramento, CA / Los Angeles, CA / Denver, CO / Chicago, IL / Overland Park, KS / Boston, MA / Bloomington, MN / Ann Arbor, MI / Raleigh, NC / Orlando, FL / Houston, TX). Open to candidates near other major cities. 

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week). Candidates must live within commuting distance of an eligible office.

Job Summary:

• Serve as technical lead for overhead transmission line design, with hands-on ownership of engineering execution on large or multiple concurrent projects
• Own design reviews and QA/QC for transmission line deliverables
• Lead structural design work (about 90% of the role), including foundations, framing and materials for steel, wood, laminate and composite structures. Lattice tower experience is a plus.
• Act as the PLS-CADD subject matter expert and train other engineers on the software
• Support client relationships and respond to client needs and drivers
• Support business development, proposals and pursuit activities
• Mentor and develop engineering staff
• Requires 8-12+ years of overhead transmission line design at 69kV and above. 500kV+ experience is strongly preferred.
• PLS-CADD expertise is required
• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (other engineering degrees considered). PE license is preferred (any state).
