Overnight Security Agent

The role…

At Soho House, the Security Agent is responsible for the safety and security of our staff, members, guests and patrons throughout their time with us, supporting the management team as needed.

Main Duties

• Responsibility for the care of hotel guests throughout their visit.


• Ensure that company reporting systems are adhered to.


• Ensure all hotel policies, standards and local laws are followed.


• Safety and security of hotel guests, employees and assets


• Conduct thorough and frequent tours of the hotel following daily checklists for specific areas of the hotel to be monitored


• Complete a daily security report of all incidents, safety concerns and matters needing attention.  Include all incidents where guests needed assistance relating to medical concerns, loss or damage of personal property, guest disturbances, evictions, trespassing, loitering, fighting, key assistance to gain entry into a guest room.  Included should also be any incidents regarding employee disturbances, fire alarms, calls to 911 or police / fire departments, power failures, bomb threats


• Ambassador and protector of the brand.  Keeper of the brand and the company culture is carried at all levels of the company in the back and front of the house areas. 


• Develops relationships with guests in order to provide personalized service.  Ensures we treat our guest as we would treat them in our own home.


• Resolve guest complaints using the proper channels, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.  Responds to guests’ requests in an accurate and timely manner, creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 1 Year of verifiable security experience.


• Prior hotel security preferred, but not required.


• Must be able to stand, patrol, and work outdoors if necessary


• Effective organizational, and verbal communication skills


• Able to speak effectively before groups of guests and hotel employees


• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.


• Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.


• Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others.


• Must be able to move, pull, push, carry or lift at least 30 pounds.


• Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required.


• Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.


• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
