Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and hardworking individual to join our team as an Oyster Shucker / Barback. This dual role is essential in supporting both our raw bar and bar operations. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with seafood, and have a team-first attitude.
Responsibilities
Oyster Shucking:
- Safely and efficiently shuck oysters to order.
- Maintain a clean and organized raw bar station.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of oysters and shellfish.
- Provide guests with accurate knowledge of oyster varieties when needed.
Barback Duties:
- Stock and restock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and glassware throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area (remove trash, replace kegs, wipe counters).
- Assist bartenders with setup and breakdown of bar stations.
- Run ice and supplies as needed during service.
- Support bartenders in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous oyster shucking or raw bar experience preferred, but not required (training available).
- Prior barback, food service, or hospitality experience a plus.
- Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs (kegs, cases, ice).
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive team-player attitude.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Catonsville has been our home for many, many years so it was an easy decision when Dimitri's International Grille was thinking about passing the torch.
