Overview
We are seeking a Packaging and Assembly Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the packaging and assembly department. Ensuring that all post-production processes; including labeling, packaging, assembly, and quality control, are completed with accuracy, efficiency, and in compliance with company standards.
This role supervises a team of packaging associates, collaborates with the Label Operator Supervisor and other warehouse leads, and plays a key part in driving workflow efficiency, team training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the packaging and assembly team.
Train, coach, and evaluate employees to ensure productivity and compliance with SOPs.
Monitor workflow to ensure products are packaged, labeled, and assembled according to company standards.
Conduct regular quality checks on finished goods and packaging components.
Maintain inventory accuracy for labels, SKUs, lot codes, and packaging materials.
Coordinate with vendors on label orders and ensure proper tracking of shipments.
Document and enforce department procedures to maintain consistency.
Lead departmental improvement projects focused on reducing errors, improving throughput, and maintaining workplace safety.
Partner with the Head of Warehouse Operations to identify staffing needs, schedule labor, and assign resources.
Uphold compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Directly supervises packaging and assembly associates.
Provides training, coaching, and performance feedback.
May assist with interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary actions in coordination with HR and warehouse leadership.

Requirements
3–5+ years of experience in warehouse, packaging, or production environments.
Prior supervisory or lead experience required.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Familiarity with inventory management systems, SKUs, and labeling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other tracking tools.
Experience working with vendors and logistics coordination preferred.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to train and hold team members accountable.
Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent on-site work.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
