Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Packaging Assistant to join our team in Tulsa. The Packaging Assistant will be responsible for labor-intensive activities including labeling, container preparation, rolling drums, packing cartridges, and crimping containers. This role ensures products meet quality standards through accurate fill weights, clean work practices, and proper labeling. The Packaging Assistant plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Safety

• Prevent, report, and work with management regarding spills, leaks, or unsafe conditions.
• Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Quality

• Support the company’s ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
• Follow all documented packing procedures.
• Minimize second-quality products.

Operational

• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Monitor automated equipment operation, ensuring equipment readiness and performing basic troubleshooting under supervision.
• Accurately complete assigned tasks on time.

Skills & Requirements

• Math skills: Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Communication: Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Teamwork: Must be able to work collaboratively.
• Education: High School diploma/GED or proven ability to perform job duties.

Training & Work Conditions

• Daily on-the-job training provided.
• Must complete annual safety and hazard communication training.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and non-climate-controlled environments.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
