Packer

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Packer in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Packer is responsible for general production line work, packaging, labeling, and sorting of products. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety procedures as required by the Health & Safety Act and/or Company practices or procedures including but not limited to the wearing of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as specified by the Act or designated by the Company.


• Cleaning and preparation of work area


• Assisting team to progress order


• Performing quality checks as you go and communicate deficiencies to the operator / quality inspector/ supervisor.


• Maintain & improve housekeeping within his/her work area


• Responsible for any equipment that has been assigned, and also responsible for the returning of the equipment to its correct location when completed.


• Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase outflow


• Participate and complete all Health and Safety training or any other training mandated by the Company.


• Other duties assigned by the management team
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Graduate


• minimum 2 years’ work experience.


• Ability to meet quota and standards


• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks


• Ability to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, midnights)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing experience
