We are hiring TWO library page employees. A library page helps shelve and organize library collection materials.

Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Scheduled for ten hours each week, evening and weekend shifts may be available. At the end of the application, select the Avon Library or the Gypsum Library.

Applicants are encouraged to apply before September 12th.  However, the position will remain posted until the jobs are filled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help to maintain the availability of library materials.  Shelve books and materials, read the shelves and organize materials in proper sequence 
• Maintains orderliness of public areas 
• Answers in-person inquiries, help locate materials, and refer customers to other appropriate assistance 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities 

• Develop a working knowledge about the library organization.  Learn about library material handling and library services.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, and Skills Required 

• Two years high school education
• Answers inquiries, helps patrons locate needed materials
• Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and by listening 

Physical Requirements

• Light physical effort required in carrying and shelving books, and in performing other typical library functions 
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and climbing
• Use hands to operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms 
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move materials weighing up to 40 pounds 
• Vision and hearing at or correctable to "normal ranges"
