Job Description - Pain Clinic Coordinator

 Hours of Job



  • Full Time - 1st Shift - No weekends or holidays


Duties and Key Responsibilities



  • Helps provide leadership and direction in accordance with set standards of the hospital and work area goals and objectives.

  • Maintains a level of professional and managerial competency.

  • Assists in the developing and maintaining of the work area’s operating budget.

  • Orients, supervises, and evaluates staff.

  • Conducts unit meetings.

  • Plans and maintains efficient staffing levels.

  • Serves as a clinical resource to staff and other work areas.

  • Promotes open communications within the unit and with other work areas.

  • Maintains established hospital and work area policies, procedures, objectives, quality initiative, guest relations, safety, environmental, and infection control.

  • Assists in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

  • Enhances professional and personal growth and development through attendance at inservices, educational offerings, work area and hospital meetings.

  • Performs clinical duties related to functions of work area.

  • Performs other duties as required.


Requirements



  • Demonstrates leadership ability in addition to clinical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, public, outside regulatory agencies, employees, peers, and physicians.


Education/Certifications



  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in specific discipline or business administration.

  • Registered Nurse preferred. License, Registry, or Certification as required by discipline. CPR and ACLS Certified.


Experience



  • Minimum of 3 years current clinical experience.

  • Previous management experience in a hospital/health care environment preferred.
