Location: Newark, NJ
Position: Full-Time
Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pain Management Physician Assistant to support patients living with acute and chronic pain in an outpatient setting. In this role, you’ll work alongside a supervising physician to evaluate patients, develop care plans, monitor treatment progress, and help improve their function and quality of life through safe and effective pain management strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and review of diagnostic results
• Participate in developing and adjusting individualized pain management treatment plans
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor response to medications, injections, and other therapies
• Educate patients and families on pain conditions, medications, and non-pharmacologic options
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other members of the care team
• Document all patient encounters, plans, and recommendations in the EMR in a timely manner
• Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and communication with outside providers as needed
• Adhere to clinic protocols, regulatory requirements, and controlled substance prescribing guidelines

• Licensed Physician Assistant in New Jersey, in good standing
• Completion of an accredited PA program and NCCPA certification
• Experience in pain management, spine, orthopedics, anesthesiology, or similar specialty is a plus
• DEA registration (or eligibility)
• Comfortable working with interventional pain procedures and post-procedure care
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
