Healthcare United is seeking a Physician Assistant for a full -time Pain Management opportunity in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
This is a full -time, permanent position with a growing multidisciplinary pain management team focused on improving patient function, comfort, and quality of life across acute and post -acute care settings.
The incoming Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams in a collaborative setting focused on evidence -based, patient -centered care.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to managing complex patients. This role is well -suited for an Advanced Practice Provider who wants to practice at the top of their license while receiving strong physician and team support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations
• Evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic pain conditions
• Assessment and management of related comorbid medical conditions
• Review and interpretation of diagnostic tests and clinical findings
• Development and adjustment of individualized treatment plans
• Ongoing patient care using advanced clinical protocols and best practices
• Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care team members
• Patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, expectations, and pain -management strategies
• Accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
• Support of safe clinical practices, patient confidentiality, and regulatory compliance
• Continued awareness of advancements in pain management and clinical guidelines

Requirements
• Active DEA license required
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider required
• Master’s degree from an accredited NP/PA program
• Current and unrestricted Florida APRN license
• Board certification as applicable
• Experience in pain management, acute care, post -acute care, primary care, internal medicine, orthopedics, neurology, or complex patient management preferred
• Strong clinical foundation in advanced practice care and pain management fundamentals
• Ability to assess medical conditions, interpret findings, and contribute to effective treatment planning
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patient situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team -based environment
• EHR proficiency
• Commitment to patient confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards
