Paint and Coatings Technician

JOB PURPOSE                                                                                                                                                 

AWT, a Precision Aviation Group company, is a recognized leader in the Repair and Overhaul of Turbine Engine Components.  We are seeking motivated candidates for this position which involves cleaning, blasting, masking and manual spraying of environmentally friendly coatings. Experience as an auto body technician or with mechanical experience is a plus but not required.   

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

Job Duties:

• Prepping components for coating


• Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to perform job functions


• Use OEM and Proprietary design prints to ensure proper outcome


• Fabricate, modify fixtures and maintain department equipment


• Measure and examine completed components using manual and electronic devices to ensure conformance

Qualifications:

• Must be Highly Motivated individual


• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills


• Must be able to read, write and understand English


• Must be available to work Fulltime, M-F, Hours ranging from 7– 4:30


• Must pass FAA/DOT Pre-Employment drug test and background screen, also subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. 

Work Location: AWT- Uxbridge, MA

 Protective Equipment Required: Fitted Mask, Gloves, and Filters.

Experience:   At least 3 years of related experience in Aviation Field, or related field preferred.
