Zook's Look Professional Painting has an opening for an experienced residential painter with leadership experience.
Zook's Look, Inc. is looking to expand our business and add an experienced painter/crew leader to our growing company. We are looking for hard-working, humble and experienced individuals who want more for themselves. If you enjoy painting, being part of a team, are dependable, provide excellent customer service, and possess leadership skills, we want to give you an opportunity with Zook's. We offer consistent work, a normal 8-4:30 M-F work week, and a great group of co-workers. Reliable transportation and a current valid driver's license is required.
To be a successful Crew Leader, a candidate must be dependable, willing to learn, and professional. We work with people in their homes; our painters must provide a safe, and courteous presence with an emphasis on customer service. Painters must be able to work in seasonal weather and physically handle the demand required for this position. Additionally, you must have an eye for detail and the ability to paint with precision.

Zook's Look is a quality-oriented home improvement company, serving the Greater Ames Area since 1995. We specialize in residential and light commercial, interior and exterior painting and staining. Our motto: Quality Counts and Details Matter!
Painter Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience leading a painting team or crew
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English, verbal and written
- Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation
- At least two years of professional residential or commercial painting experience, including proficiency with paint sprayers, rolling and cutting techniques, and a working knowledge of various paint, stain and finishing products
- Must be able to lift 5 gallon buckets of paint, safely move ladders and equipment, climb ladders and scaffolding, be comfortable with heights, and hold a paintbrush or roller for several hours.
Painter Duties:
- Assist with training new or inexperienced team members
- Lead/manage painting crew in the execution of daily duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Taping and masking (protecting non-painted areas)
- Caulking and puttying
- Sanding
- Cleaning
- Brush painting and rolling
- Spray booth work
- Paint interiors and exteriors with paint sprayer
- Other duties as assigned
