Paint Preparator

Our client, a leading company in the automotive industry, is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Paint Preparator to join their team. The job entails the day-to-day preparation of vehicles for the painting process.This is a full-time opportunity and the contract is provided directly by the company. 

Main Duties & Responsibility:

• To assess the vehicle and make sure that all body works have been done in the correct manner.
• To smooth any unmasked surfaces by removing any previous coats of paint and making sure to sand any rough areas.
• To apply paper and masking tape to protect any unpainted surfaces and removing them after the vehicle is ready.
• To make use of any hand and power tools which will be required.
• To report any health hazards to the Senior Operations Manager / Health and Safety Representative / Health and Safety Coordinator.
• To report any near misses or injuries to the Senior Operations Manager / Health and Safety Representative / Health and Safety Coordinator.
• To perform any other duties assigned by his direct superior when and as required.

Job Requirements:

• Be able to multi-task and work on own initiative
• Experience in a similar post is an asset
