Paint Specialist Sales Experienced

Norfolk Hardware & Home Center is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Paint Sales Associate to join our team! Whether you're experienced in paint sales or eager to learn, we'll provide the training you need to succeed.

If you enjoy working with people, have an eye for detail, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

• Assist customers with selecting paints, stains, primers, and specialty coatings.
• Mix and tint paint using computerized color-matching equipment.
• Recommend brushes, rollers, tape, caulk, and other painting supplies.
• Explain product features, coverage, application methods, and drying times.
• Keep the paint department clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Build attractive merchandise displays and assist with inventory.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while helping achieve department sales goals.

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail or paint experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Willingness to learn paint products and color-matching systems.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated to help customers.

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, reach, climb ladders, and stock merchandise.
• Operate paint mixing and color-matching equipment.
