Paint Technician

PAINT TECHNICIAN – COLLISION CENTER
Location: Oakes Collision Center | Kansas City, MO
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift
Compensation: $120,000–$200,000+ annually, based on experience and productivity

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Paint Technician to join our Collision Center team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality finishes, consistency, and working within a professional repair process. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, priming, and final surface preparation


• Mix and apply paint using manufacturer-approved techniques and materials


• Ensure color accuracy, finish quality, and consistency across all repairs


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety procedures


• Collaborate with estimators, body technicians, and management to meet production and quality goals

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and has a strong understanding of paint systems, materials, and application techniques. The ideal candidate can work efficiently while maintaining high standards and brings a team-focused mindset with reliable attendance and professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paint Technician in a collision or body shop environment.


• Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record


• Ability to pass a standard background check


• Strong reliability and consistent attendance


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment


• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
