Darley is looking for a pump painter to join our team! The scope of this position applies to our painting operations in accordance with customer requirements.

Requirements

• Reads, interprets and follows work orders, specifications and other written instructions or procedures to accurately paint the product to standard.
•  If customer requirements are not specific, the process will be to follow the paint manufacturers recommended process for the product used.
•  Understanding of C.A.R.C. (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) process and expectations. 
• Understands proper preparation of product
• Understands how to use the paint gun, fill it and run it in the booth
• Setup of the forced air-liquid
• Use of a respirator
• Motion and technique
• Work is performed in accordance with quality standards and established safety standards.
• Documentation is complete and legible
• Maintaining a Safe and Clean work environment

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• CARC painting training or equivalent experience

Skills

• Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks
• Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
