Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces in residential or commercial properties. This role plays a key part in maintaining the appearance and value of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and priming as necessary.
• Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Match and mix paint colors to specifications.
• Protect surrounding areas and furniture with drop cloths or masking tape.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment, including proper storage of materials and equipment.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality and touch up as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear protective equipment.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment in good condition.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding timelines and progress.
• Work both independently and as part of a maintenance or renovation crew.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a professional painter (residential, commercial, or both).
• Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and surface preparation.
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces.
• Attention to detail and strong focus on quality and cleanliness.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic understanding of safety and OSHA regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
• Lift and carry equipment/materials up to 50 lbs.
• Work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
