Key Responsibilities

Texas Aircraft Propeller is looking for a Painter who will be responsible for preparing, painting, and detailing propellers, potentially including sanding, masking, mixing paints, and applying coatings to ensure a high-quality finish, while adhering to safety and quality standards. You will work closely with specifications, color sketches, and instructions to plan and execute the paint process efficiently.

Key Deliverables of the Role

1) Cleaning and prepping surfaces by sanding, blasting, or washing of parts.

2) Applying primers, base coats, and topcoats of paint to the proper thickness and coverage.

3) Experience with composite/fiberglass repair desired.

4) Inspecting finished work for quality.

5) Identifying and addressing any defects or issues.

6) Setting up, operating, and maintaining paint equipment, including spray guns, paint booths, and other tools.

7) Mixing and applying paint, enamel, lacquer, or other coatings.

8) Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.

9) Follow, promote, and continuously improve company policies and procedures.

10) Perform other duties as assigned by the department

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required.

· Preferred 1-3 years of painting experience.

Required Technical Competencies

1) Communication- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

2) Manual Dexterity – Ability to perform a job that requires detailed handwork.

3) Experience with Process Standards – Demonstrated ability to read, understand and execute to written instruction.

4) Computer Skills – experience with entering and retrieving data from a computer.
