Description:
A Commercial Sign Painter at La Crosse Sign Group will apply their skills in painting to create, restore and maintain signs used in industrial and commercial settings. This includes preparing surfaces, mixing paints, applying stencils and graphics, painting using different application tools, and ensuring all signs meet specific quality standards.

Working Conditions:
Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented production environment with routine exposure to dirt, noise, temperature variance, chemicals, and solvents. Works primarily on concrete surfaces and occasionally on ladders. Deadline pressure is an integral part of the job with the potential for managing multiple project assignments. Frequent mental and visual concentration needed for reading/assimilating complex and technical compliance information. Works with a variety of people including vendors, customers, employees, and leadership.
Required Work Schedule:
Work hours are generally during normal production hours 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday-Thursday with variable hours on Fridays, and an average of at least 40 hours a week. There may be small variations in work hours due to special projects, training new and existing staff, and meeting customer deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Will alternate walking, sitting, and standing throughout work shift. Ability to paint in a variety of positions including, but not limited to kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing. Must be able to climb and stand on a ladder for periods of time. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds at times during the shift. There is regular use of the keyboard and telephone. Requires the ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication. Vision acuity corrected to 20/40; Must pass Ishihara Color Assessment and receive a minimum of average/normal color vision score on Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hues and D-15.
