Painter

• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and applying primer.


• Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.


• Repair and patch drywall, plaster, and other surfaces as needed.


• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.


• Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.


• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).


• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts to reach high areas.


• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status and needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience in commercial or industrial settings.


• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and various painting methods.


• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and safety instructions.


• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and practices.


• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in painting or surface finishing.


• 
  

  Experience with epoxy coatings, waterproofing, or specialty finishes.
