Job Responsibilities 

• Performs painting tasks as assigned for the residential community, including removal of existing paint, preparation of surfaces to be painted, application of a variety of surface materials, and maintenance of painted areas for both indoor and outdoor projects.


• Use of power cleaning equipment, chemicals, scrapes, sandpaper, and sanding machines


• Applies patches, plaster, and sheetrock by using filler, tape, spackling compound, patching plasters, and other relevant products as needed


• Prepares and installs vinyl wall coverings


• Paints walls, ceilings, and other interior accessories as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in painting trade and/or building maintenance, but two years’ experience preferred


• Quality of work is accurate, thorough, and neat


• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of painting and wall covering trade


• Basic shop-level math and comprehensive understanding of English; must be able to read, write and communicate in English
