Painter - Standard

Primary Activities/Duties:

• Work with the Surface Treatment team to process unpainted work, rework, and special color parts through the finishing systems.
• Program and operate the automatic equipment used in automatic booths.
• Monitor the coating quality from the paint systems.
• Meet and exceed customer specifications.
• Clean and maintain all paint-related equipment and work areas.
• Operate and maintain all paint application and delivery equipment used in both the manual and automatic spray booths for the application of both standard and special color coatings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred, but not required. 
• Moderate knowledge of powder paint equipment and powder paint applications required.
• E-Coat experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand in paint booth occasionally throughout work shift. 
• Walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.
• Frequently walk up and down stairs or ladder.
• Grasp hand tools including paint application/delivery equipment. 
• Frequently work overhead. 
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds to waist level; frequently lift 25–40 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.
