 Bartlesville Oklahoma

Work Arrangement: Onsite – Monday – Friday

Working Conditions: Shop environment

Position Summary

Lincoln Electric Products Co Inc. is seeking a Painter- Powder Coating  to join its dynamic team. This role is available immediately and provides a great growth opportunity for the right candidate. 

It is a full-time, non-exempt position and candidate will be reporting directly to the Fabrication Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow all principles and practices  of powder coating and painting application.
  • Operate all coating equipment  including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
  • Observe machine gauges and equipment      operation to detect defects.
  • Determine paint flow, viscosity, and  coating quality by performing visual inspections.
  • Must have the ability to match      different texture coats.
  • Bake parts at appropriate temperatures      within time limitations.
  • Ensure that all components are  produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established      goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
  • Ensure quality standards and  processes are used throughout the facility.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are being  met to assure a safe work environment.
  • Hang/Rack and Un-rack parts
  • Ability to bend over and pick up items from the floor if needed.
  • Proper cleaning and maintenance of  equipment and chemical solutions.
  • Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbal and written. Ability to      effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Working with a team of welders / fabricators / powder coaters / assemblers.
  • Building the equipment with reliability and speed under tight deadlines.
  • Maintaining records, work status and supply inventory.
  • Interfacing with quality, supply chain, engineering, and assembly departments.
  • Participating in individual and team based continuous improvement activities.
  • Flexibility to perform work in other areas as required.
  • Cross train within the department on other various operations as required.
  • Keep work area, tools, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner

 


Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience working as a painter for either liquid or powder paint, however, preference will be given to a candidate that has direct experience in powder painting.
  • Ability to organize Paint Line and orders to determine best methods and sequences of product assembly.
  • Ability to produce quality finishes on the final painted product consistently.
  • Ability to hang parts in the rack to help optimize effective utility of the paint booth and Paint Gel Oven.
  • Ability to work in a team and/or independently as needed.
  • Experience with working with hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Must be an energetic, self-starter, very dependable.
  • Work environment is loud (hearing protection is required).
  • Work on your feet for most of the work shift.
  • Ability to lift 70+ lbs.

Education:

  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Trade School Graduate is a plus.
  • Fork Truck certification a plus.
  • Crane operation certification a plus.
