Painting Entry Level- 2nd Shift

DEPARTMENT:         Paint line

JOB TITLE:               Entry Level Paintline Operator  

REPORTS TO:          Department Manager with direction from Team Leader

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 2nd Shift Position: Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Training will be conducted on day shift for four weeks prior to transitioning to second shift.

STARTING PAY:       $23/ per hour, with the ability to earn more. 

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Entry Level Operator for the Paint Line for our aluminum manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for supporting the efficient and effective functioning of the paint line operations. The Operator will assist in the preparation and application of coatings to aluminum products, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our customer specifications. You will work closely with paint line operators and other production staff to handle materials, prepare surfaces, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety as you will be working with various chemicals and machinery. Your day-to-day activities will involve racking and unracking parts, assisting in the monitoring of paint application processes, and performing regular quality checks on coated products. What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Operate machinery and equipment as needed to support the production process.
• Set up bake ovens based on product specifications and requirements.
• Perform a variety of manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting with setup and teardown of equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and safety protocols to perform tasks safely and effectively.
• Report any defects or issues to Team Leader/Management.
• Record and maintain accurate records of oven temperatures and production data. 
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

• Flexible and adaptable to assist in other departments as operational needs require.

• Must pass company background check and drug screen.
