Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Painting Sales / Estimating Manager to lead the sales and project estimation efforts for our painting division. This role blends sales, client relations, and project management, driving business growth while ensuring accurate, competitive estimates for commercial and residential painting projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in estimating, bid development, and client management.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope, requirements, and conditions
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and project timelines
• Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals to clients and contractors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with execution plans
• Lead, train, and mentor junior estimators or sales staff as needed
• Track project budgets, costs, and profitability metrics
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales strategy development
• Proven experience in painting sales, estimating, or project management
• Strong knowledge of painting materials, methods, and industry standards
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with estimating software or Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license
