We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Paper Sales Executive to join our sales team. The Paper Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and promoting paper products to businesses, distributors, printers, packaging companies, offices, retailers, and other commercial clients. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to identify customer needs and provide cost-effective paper solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in the paper, printing, packaging, office supply, and commercial industries.
Identify sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, client visits, and market research.
Present and promote paper products, including printing paper, packaging paper, specialty paper, office paper, and related products.
Understand customer needs and recommend the most suitable paper products based on quality, pricing, usage, and volume requirements.
Prepare sales quotes, proposals, pricing agreements, and product presentations for prospective and current clients.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery terms, and order requirements while maintaining company profitability.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing changes, and customer demand within the paper industry.
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery.
Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction, resolve concerns, and encourage repeat business.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, leads, and pipeline updates in the company CRM or sales tracking system.
Attend trade shows, client meetings, networking events, or industry events as needed.
Build long-term customer relationships by providing excellent service, product knowledge, and reliable follow-through.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
Previous sales experience required, preferably in paper, packaging, printing, office supplies, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or B2B sales.
Strong understanding of sales processes, customer relationship management, and account development.
Ability to learn and explain different paper products, grades, sizes, weights, finishes, and applications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, follow up consistently, and meet deadlines.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and CRM systems.
Valid driver’s license may be required for client visits or territory-based sales.
