Job Overview
We are currently looking for a paralegal to play a vital role in the legal department by providing support to our in-house attorney and assisting in various legal tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills as they will be responsible for multi-state regulatory gaming licensing, drafting legal documents, and record keeping, enabling the attorney to focus on strategic and complex legal matters.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Administer and maintain the Company’s compliance, licensing, and reporting functions.
• Routinely work with various state regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to regulations outlined by each authority, including licensing and compliance items.
• Review and distribute incident reports and send to regulators once approved for distribution.
• Prepare and transmit notifications of corporate changes to regulators.
• Assist with privacy and data protection compliance initiatives across global business-lines.
• Project management of various departmental goals including onboarding new CLM and Compliance platforms, system mergers, and maintenance of various tracking spreadsheets and registers.
• Regularly work with in house attorneys and business colleagues of all levels as well as outside counsel and vendors.
• Analyze information and draft necessary corporate legal documents to facilitate compliance with corporate policy and procedure, including confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, purchasing agreements, commercial lease agreements, and more.
• General department support and administrative matters.
• Assist in various areas of corporate law and general review of agreements with customers, vendors, and other third parties.
Qualifications & Experiences
• Superior research, writing and organizational skills
• Familiarity and experience with legal research techniques and resources
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal oversight
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexible, positive, detail-oriented and client-focused with an understanding of how own work impacts the “big picture”
• College degree, paralegal certification, and notary a must
• Minimum of 5 years in-house corporate or large law firm experience
• Proficient PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Internet savvy
