The Douglas County District Court Trustee is accepting applications for a full-time child support paralegal. This is a highly responsible position in child support enforcement. This position carries an assigned domestic caseload. Duties include:
Qualifications: High school education; excellent customer service skills; efficiency in computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook); proofreading skills; attention to detail; excellent communication and organizational skills; excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and ability to multi-task, work independently and with team members, and maintain confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications: prior legal experience in area of child support enforcement, domestic relations law, or debt collection; paralegal degree or associate’s degree. Salary/Pay Rate: Starting pay is $20.99 (Grade 23, Step A) hourly with possible step increases at 6 months ($21.52) and 1 year ($23.16). Great benefits that include health insurance, KPERS and paid time off. On site position at the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center in Lawrence, Kansas. |
