Summarizing legal documentation and communication information to the Senior Management Team
Performing records research and performing legal research
Coordinating research with community management team and/or key players
Checking legal forms for accuracy
Preparing reports and correspondence
Drafting all sorts of legal documents
Process and follow-up on insurance claims
Sit through mediations on insurance claims
Maintain knowledge of state and local regulations for AL, MC and SNF communities
Maintain/track and submit paperwork for all license at each community
Provide training/education and support at the Community level to include worker’s compensation and EEOC issues
Occasionally review associate handbook, resident handbook, resident agreements, community licensures, etc. for compliance and correctness

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
Must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years-experience in a healthcare or real estate legal department or law firm
Knowledge of healthcare laws, real estate transactions, compliance laws and regulations
Understand governance, compliance, regulatory environments and litigation in a healthcare environment
Excellent organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and will be able to work in a high paced, timeline driven corporate office setting
Strong leadership skills
Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook software. Basic typing skills required
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, state regulatory agencies, hospitals, and outside contacts
Knowledge of current Federal and State laws pertaining to assisted living and/or memory care communities
Must meet all state health requirements
Able to make independent decisions
Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
