Currently seeking Paramedics for job openings in the Highlands and Polk County, FL area. The ideal candidate will possess an active, unrestricted, Paramedic license in the state of Florida. This individual will lead the charge in improving the patient care experience while providing lifesaving emergency medical care.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Current valid Driver’s License (must pass MVR).
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare preferred
- Ability to pass a physical evaluation, including lifting 125 lbs.
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) or CEVO Certified
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintaining Paramedic certification as required by the State
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current Paramedic standards of care, including equipment function and use
- Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive protocols.
- Utilize your skills in medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
- Completes appropriate medical records and transportation reports.
- Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
- Act as team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
- Maintains units and equipment in a clean, organized, and ready condition after each response
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow employees.
- Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS Representatives, hospitals, and the public.
