Job Description - Paramedic/Nurse

Paramedic / Nurse – Buzz Westfall Justice Center

$35-$40+/Hour | Flexible Scheduling | Paid Training

AccuCare Event Medical is seeking experienced Paramedics and Nurses to join our medical team at the St. Louis County Buzz Westfall Justice Center (BWJC) in Clayton, Missouri.

This position offers a unique opportunity to provide patient care in a structured clinical environment while working alongside St. Louis County Department of Health Corrections Medicine staff. Correctional officers are present at all times, and comprehensive paid training is provided.

Whether you're a full-time EMS professional, firefighter/paramedic, emergency department nurse, ICU nurse, or simply looking for a high-paying supplemental position, BWJC offers flexible scheduling and meaningful patient care.

Compensation

Day Shift: Starting at $35/hour

Overnight Shift: Starting at $40/hour

Weekly Pay

Paid Orientation & Training

Schedule

Flexible scheduling

Minimum commitment of only three 12-hour shifts per month

Day and overnight opportunities available

Responsibilities

Intake assessments and patient evaluations

Vital signs monitoring

Medication administration

Patient observation and treatment

Documentation and electronic charting

Collaboration with corrections medical staff

Qualifications

Current Missouri Paramedic or Nursing license

Current BLS certification

ACLS and PALS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of experience in EMS, Emergency Department, ICU, or related acute care setting

Strong assessment and documentation skills
