SUMMARY:
The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Capital Area Intermediate Unit is $22.00/hour
5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date)
OPENING:
Location: Future Ready Work Immersion Program, 6340 Flank Dr #600, Harrisburg, PA 17112
Will provide direct support to high school–aged students within community settings and on job sites, including delivering job coaching and workplace skill development
Paraprofessionals will work on student days following the academic calendar year
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB
Associates or Bachelors Degree - preferred
Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
CREDENTIALING :
(Clearances current within 12 months)
PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
TB Screening - current within 3 months
Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
