Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Paraprofessional to join our team supporting students through  in the Norristown, PA area! The ideal candidate will provide individualized academic, behavioral, and classroom support to a student with diverse learning needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a student's educational experience while working alongside teachers and other school-based professionals.

Pay: $18–$20/hour
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Setting: School-Based, 1:1 Support

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one academic, behavioral, and classroom support to an assigned student.


• Assist the student with classroom activities, assignments, transitions, and daily routines.


• Follow and support the student's individualized education and behavioral plans as directed by the educational team.


• Reinforce classroom instruction and help the student remain engaged and focused on learning.


• Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to promote independence and confidence.


• Support appropriate social interactions, communication, and classroom behaviors.


• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure consistent and effective student support.


• Monitor and communicate student progress, behaviors, and concerns to the appropriate members of the educational team.


• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with all school and Liberty Education Solutions policies and procedures.


• Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for the student.

Required Clearances:

• FBI Fingerprints (within 1 year)


• PA State Police Criminal Record Check/PATCH (within 1 year)


• PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 1 year)


• Act 24


• Act 168


• Mandated Reporter Training


• TB Test and Physical


• High School Diploma/Transcript

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.


• Previous experience working with children or students preferred.


• Experience supporting students with disabilities, behavioral needs, or diverse learning needs is a plus.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and professional.


• Ability to follow individualized student plans and direction from the educational team.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team.


• Reliable transportation to the Norristown, PA area.
