Job Summary

Works directly with a classroom teacher to assist with the implementation of supports and services provided. Collaborate with teachers and students in a variety of tasks related to academics, behavior and physical logistics. Coaches and encourage students to actively engage in the process of learning and becoming more independent. Incumbents may be assigned to work with 1 to 2 specific students. If that student/s move to a different school, the Para-Pro will be offered the opportunity to move with that student/s. Should the opportunity be declined, continued employment at the current school will be based on business need.

 

Education Qualifications: HS Diploma/ G.E.D. and 48 semester credit hours earned at an accredited college/university or ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Score: 456
Experience Qualifications: Prior experience working with school age children preferred

Starting At: $21.34 - $22.66 

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
