Parents Day Out Teacher

Description

To provide quality child care for children ages six months to five years of age with a focus on Bible lessons and age appropriate activities. Must exhibit a willingness to interact and lead their class in a Christ-like manner. Parents Day Out operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year from 9:00-2:00.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children is preferable. He or she must be willing to receive direction, supervision, and instruction from Parents Day Out Coordinator under the leadership of the Kids Ministry
• He or she will be expected to work enthusiastically and in a Christ-exalting manner.
• He or she must exhibit a love and compassionate heart towards children.

Competencies:

• He or she must be a growing Christian that is an active member in a local Bible- believing church.
• Team player and supportive co-teacher
• Teachable attitude
• Growth mindset and ready to engage kids
• Passes a criminal background check, drug screening or other checks as directed by personnel policies.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities:

• Serve in a classroom teaching role.
• Must be on time and ready to receive children each day
• Collect correct weekly supplies
• Attend training sessions & meetings
• Dress appropriately for active play both inside and outside
• Position self on the floor or at a small tables alongside children or with children in your lap. Move children safely to and from changing tables and bathrooms
• Quickly and Safely move children to different areas of the campus like the playground, Underground, and Bostick Building
• Move children in and out of building during emergency drills or in the case of an emergency

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
