Parker Store/Branch Regional Support Specialist

Description

The Regional Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Air Hydro Power branch operations by ensuring consistent and accurate staffing across the assigned region. This position provides coverage for employee absences and supports smooth day-to-day operations at various branch locations.  In addition to staffing support, this role is actively involved in new hire onboarding, ongoing employee training, and assisting with Inside Sales and Parker Store operations. Daily travel is expected, and extended overnight stays may be common. 

Inside Sales Responsibilities: 

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service and support.
• Prepares customer quotes and ensures timely, accurate communication.
• Collaborates with internal departments processing orders and delivering value-added services.
• Uses the ERP system (P21) to manage customer information, check inventory, track order status, and perform updates.
• Supports outside sales by handling administrative tasks and facilitating customer interactions.

Branch Customer Service Responsibilities:

• Operates the retail counter, including processing walk-in purchases via cash or credit card.
• Assembles and fabricates hoses for walk-in customers with accuracy and efficiency. 
• Provides prompt, accurate, and friendly service to walk-in and phone-in customers.
• Responds to customer requests for product info, pricing, order changes, cancellations, and adjustments.
• Utilizes the ERP system (P21) for order management and data accuracy.
• Works closely with outside sales to assist with order fulfillment and customer follow-ups.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions in the warehouse or showroom.

Requirements

• Must reside in the Madison/Huntsville, AL area.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2-3 years of direct Parker Store / Inside Sales experience.
• Additional related experience and/or training in customer service, sales, or a similar field is strongly preferred. 

Specific Skills/Abilities: 

• Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar programs.
• Proven team player with a collaborative attitude.
